Lillian Dutcher

Lillian joined The Law Office of Johann Hall, APC in 2019 as an intern before becoming a paralegal. After completing her internship, Mr. Hall hired her as a paralegal and she has worked at the firm ever since.

Lillian’s interest in law solidified in high school during her time as an FFA member, where she participated in numerous volunteer community service activities, raised and showed swine, mentored other FFA members, and competed in various FFA speaking competitions. The mentorship and community service activities ripened Lillian’s desire to pursue a career in law so she could make an impactful difference for those facing hardship.

In 2018, Lillian pursued her interest in the legal field and attended Empire College School of Business’s Paralegal Program, graduating in 2020 with a Specialized Associate’s Degree and attendant Paralegal certificate. While in the paralegal program, Lillian was the Legal Department Mentor, Tutor, and an Empire Legal Student Association (ELSA) board member. Lillian also worked in the bookstore where she served both the Business School and Law School students prior to commencing her internship and being hired at The Law Office of Johann Hall.

Lillian’s experience during her internship and subsequent time as a paralegal assisting Mr. Hall in representing personal injury and childhood sexual abuse victims perpetuated her desire to continue her legal education to become an attorney. She ultimately enrolled and started law school in 2021. While in law school, Lillian continued working with Mr. Hall who ensures every individual obtains just compensation for what they have endured, fulfilling her passion for helping injured individuals obtain justice.

In 2023, Lillian graduated with a Master of Legal Studies degree from Empire College School of Law. In 2024, Lillian was honored to receive the Sonoma County Women in Law Hon. Gayle Guynup Scholarship for her dedication to promoting women’s access to, and involvement in, the legal system. Also in 2024, Lillian competed in the 55th annual state-wide Roger J. Traynor Moot Court Competition and received the second-place merit award for appellate oral advocacy. In 2025, Lillian was again a member of Empire’s team competing in the 56th annual Roger J. Traynor Moot Court Competition, where the team placed second overall, second in brief writing, second in overall appellate advocacy, and Lillian received the Geoffrey Hall Wright Award for Best Oralist after receiving the highest overall score for appellate oral argument. Lillian intends to sit for the July 2025 California Bar Exam and continue working at the firm representing those who suffer personal injuries.

In her spare time, Lillian continues to support the Santa Rosa FFA Chapter as a volunteer board member for the Santa Rosa FFA Agriculture Advisory Board, and enjoys hiking, hunting, camping, playing baseball/softball, and going on walks with her miniature dachshund and golden retriever.
